Itinerary description

An exploration on the trail from Canical to Boca do Risco. Started at the Canical cemetery and took the dirt road up to the trail junction with the Canical levada. We went right on a dirt bush road to the cliff edge to meet the target trail along the cliff. Very scenic along the cliff south to Sao Laurenco and north to Porta da Cruz. Climbed up until the trail over Pico Rocadas was evident. Returned along the cliff trail through scenic red sandstone to the cemetery. Did not complete the exploration but found a remarkably scenic area along the cliff. The trashed logging area was easy to avoid and ignore.
