Itinerary description
Outstanding tour on the heights of Madeira. This Tour have everything a hiker needs. Mountain, Views and Tunnles. The Tour is mostly secured with fences but carefully sometimes they are damaged and you should not have fear of heights. Start early as possible if you don't like "Hiker Jam". The best is if you inform your self about the weather before you start. A good way is to check the Webcam from Pico Arieiro (http://www.netmadeira.com/webcams-madeira/pico-do-arieiro/partilha). As well I had good experiences with this weather website (https://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Pico-Ruivo/forecasts/1862).
But you know weather can change fast in the mountains if you feel no save delay your tour.

Good discription. Great tour but hard. It's wurth it. For people who don't wanna walk back. Just walk to Teixeira and take a taxi back to Arieiro ( €70, if u have luck there are more people, u can split up)

Very nice walk, easy to follow, safe. A lot of stairs to climb but the view worth it.
Make sure to check the weather first.
