Beautiful day, sunny and windy.
Very touristic trail in the first part, but be careful as it becomes harder step by step. Don’t undervalue this trekking! The view at the end is worth every footstep. Can’t imagine doing it in the hot summer times. Bring with you a front torch as you will enter in dark tunnels.
Consider at least 5 to 6 hours to complete the full trail and return to Pico do Areiro.
