Itinerary description

One of the most popular day hikes near La Paz. Hire a driver to take you to "La Rinconada". Push up the valley until you get to the Impressive Ch'iar Quta. From there, turn to your left and attack the steep slope that leads to the summit of Pico Austria. The path is pretty clear most of the time. From the summit, you have a direct view of Condoriri. You are also able to see the Altiplano, Lake Titicaca and a great extent of the Cordillera Real. A highly recommended hike for those that want to discover the Andes Mountains around La Paz.
