Itinerary description
The clouds cleared around noon giving us the opportunity to visit the spectacular vistas at Pico Arieiro. We followed the trail to Ruivo for a km enjoying the views and tracing the trail past Gato and Torres before returning as the mist turned to thick fog. The trail was easy as we avoided the stairway to heaven and the tunnels.
