Itinerary description

leaving the gravel parking area at the quarry..normally for the access of Tourroc, before taking the main path to Tourroc, take right hand gravel path ..follow this path for a km or so and a small climb you arrive at a large flat open area from the quarry..track continues up to a small col, with great views accross to the chain, and Tourroc towers above you .
head east up a small path and i took a small break on a crest to my left.overlooking small cabin..descend and continue to another open area..path is faint here, but climbs towards the trees where it becomes clear again..descend other side and Pic de Pene is ahead..no real paths to climb, but easy enough to make to the ridge..again great views across to Aspet and behind Mont La ..return same way ...not sure but looks like on another day i could continue to Aspet ...lets see
