Itinerary description
Long walk through the valley up to the pic de Picharet and lone cabane .
Starting at the village of Cazarilh..arrive at the church and take left small road ..continue past the remainder of the houses and take right hand track by a tiny barn..this track leads down to the D22 road ..take right and arrive at the village Mauleon Barrouse..at the bar in centre there is a small tunnel behind that passes up through the village..follow until reaching the D925..take a right and left here ..sign for Ourde almost straight after take the right hand track..this leads to the church (Ourde)..pass through the village and descend..take the last right hand track..normaly 3 dogs barking !!
At end of track arrive at the D925 again..take right towards Fererre..At the small river bridge ..cross and stay on the track towards Esbareich..
Just before the village ..small track on your left ..going up to an unnamed peak with a bird hide or shooting cabain..nice views across the valley..
Descend and carry on towards the farm..take right track and first left behind the cow sheds..
Track climbs into the woods ..you arrive at a junction and a small caban below you..take the right hand track..this climbs gently through the forest and arrive at a clearing ..head left and follow the steep forestry track up past the two cabins..the second one is summit of the Pic Picharet..i continued for a few hundred mts until you come across the lone cabane that looks down on the valley. Good luch spot ..then return same way .
