A walk in Phoenix Park and a visit to the Dublin zoo.
The idea was to continue the visit further in Phoenix park but the strong wind convinced us to sit, on the other hand, in that fancy tea house that we can be found just outside the exit.
Phoenix park is the great green area (it is the greatest hurban park in Europe). It offers green, open spaces, long paths, some seats. It is not my favorite type of park: not really natural and completely different from a garden; yet you can enjoy it to practice outdoor activities, and by visiting some points of interest. These include the Dublin Zoo which was renovated in the last decade and can be enjoyable event by bad weather since animals are free to stay outside or inside and visitors too.

Phoenix Park is the large green area (it is the largest urban park in Europe). It offers greenery, open spaces, long paths, some places to sit. It's not my favorite type of park: not really natural and completely different from a garden; but you can enjoy it by practicing outdoor activities and visiting some points of interest. Or even just because there is a lack of greenery after hours of visiting the historic centre. Points of interest include Dublin Zoo, which has been renovated in the last decade and can be pleasant even in bad weather as animals and visitors are free to stay outside or inside the pavilions.
Done on 9/12 on a cold and windy day with Dario and Luca. A little more than eight kilometres, including the last untracked stretch after the stop at the cafeteria. From the café you can continue along the central avenue which bisects the park.
APPROACH
The park entrance is located not far from Hueston Station.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
EASY
I invite you to consult my personal difficulty scale in the profile
The route takes place entirely on paths in the park.
