Itinerary description
Started just after Teton Pass at the Phillips Pass trail. All well marked. Easy ascent through Pine trees and flower meadows, some taller than me. Open views from Phillips Pass and continued on beginning of Teton Crest trail. Clear view through meadows and Pine trees. Short steep bit with slippery tiny stones, but then a nice trail again. I took the .5 mile along Teton Crest trail switchbacks and popped up on the pass, but not much view. Backtracked to the junction with Moose Creek and continued up to Moose Lake. Mostly through meadows and some willows along the creek. Saw two moose. Mostly an easy climb on a clear trail with one steep bit just before Moose lake. I continued along the ridge but then turned back, heading down Moose Creek. Beautiful waterfalls and a couple creek crossings, one without any bridge so had to ford it. Moose creek has a clear trail, fairly easy with views of the valley and narrower sections through the canyon, always parallelling the sizeable creek. Long but lovely hike. Note that GPS is close but not always 100% accurate.
