Itinerary description
Both the north (see my other track) and south ends of this petrified forest are well worth the effort. Both have many petrified stumps. Please keep a respectful distance and don't touch anything.
GoogleMaps is wrong about the access, you must come from I-94 WEST bound and then follow the signs for "Ranch" and then "Petrified Forest." Thankfully, Medora at one mile to the east and has highway exits.
