Itinerary description
Periton Hill 297m, Exmoor (Marilyn).
Limited street parking at start point in the village of Wootten Courtney. Walk East out of the village where on the first corner is a style taking you up across the field up a hill into the forest. Follow the gpx trail up through the forest on a mix of trails and tracks (avoid my right hand spike where I was not concentrating) until you come to the summit area where you have to leave the track on the left hand side into the woods on a path to the trig pointed top. There are no views but it is a nice walk nevertheless.
Parking: Limited street parking in Wooten Courtney.
Route: A bit of road, forest trails and tracks. No view point once you are in the forest. Nice walk though.
Route Statistics: 3.3km with 183m of ascent done in 50mins.
