Itinerary description
A short 2 hour hike up to Ancient Thira, a 3000 year old town, well preserved and open to be viewed (there is an admission fee to enter the site). Walk down the other side to Kamari, and take the boat ferry back to Perissa (five euros for the ferry ride), or walk down the same way you walk up. There is free parking at the start point in Perissa. Great views of Kamari and Perissa/Perivolos, and of course a fantastic archeological site once occupied by the Egyptians.
