An excellent circular walk in North Pelion. From Ano Kerasia we follow the dirt road to Flamouri monastery. Our walk starts at the end of the road. In 25 min. we reach the monastery (built in 1579, has four monks, female visitors not allowed inside) and then initially follow the path towards Veneto. At a signpost we turn right, pass a stream and climb to the rocky top of Kato Koromilia (827 m.). There, embedded into a rock, we see the plaque in memory of Alfons Hochhauser, an extraordinary man who chose that place to die in 1981-see more in www.alfons-hochhauser.de (in german) and in Kostas Akrivos` book Ποιός θυμάται τον Αλφόνς (in Greek). We continue in dense beech forest to return to the start. Total duration 5,5-6 hours (walking time 4,5 h.). The route is marked with red paint. We will need a 4X4 or at least a car with high ground clearance. A normal car will park at the junction at Kato Goura at muddy plateau (we go left at the junction). At the next junction we go right.

Aυτή είναι μία θαυμάσια κυκλική διαδρομή με επίκεντρο τη μονή Φλαμουρίου, που περνά από τη θέση Κάτω Κορομηλιά (ή Κορομπλιά) και το μνημείο του Αλφόνς, στη θέση όπου βρέθηκε νεκρός το 1981. Kαθαρός χρόνος πορείας 4,5 ώρες, σήμανση με κόκκινα σημάδια. Για να πάμε στην αφετηρία της διαδρομής, ακολουθούμε από την Ανω Κερασιά το χωματόδρομο προς τη μονή Φλαμουρίου (βατός από 4Χ4 -οι κούρσες θα παρκάρουν στην Κάτω Γούρα, στη διασταύρωση, για να αποφύγουν τις λάσπες). Σε νέα διασταύρωση πιο πάνω πάμε δεξιά). Ο δρόμος τερματίζει στην τοποθεσία Σταυρός και από εκεί αρχίζει το ίχνος της διαδρομής.
