Itinerary description
An easy, classic walk on mt.Pelion connecting the seaside resort of Kala Nera to the picturesque village of Milies. Duration 1,5 hours, mostly on cobblestone path (kalderimi). Start from the main road opposite Tsitsilianion health center, and follow a narrow road towards the cemetery of Kala Nera. The kalderimi starts 50 m. after the cemetery on the right side of the road.
From Milies we can continue walking to Tsangarada or Boufa. There are 3 options to return by foot to Kala Nera: a. by the same route, b. from Milies train station walk along the rails to Vyzitsa station and then follow the kalderimi Vyzitsa-Kala Nera, c. take the kalderimi from Milies to Belegrinos bridge, 1 km east of Kala Nera on the main road and walk on the road back to Tsitsilianion.
