Itinerary description

An easy and beautiful walk. Duration about 2 hours (walking time 1.40'). Starting from the road junction in Argalasti, we pass from fountain Kamara and the stone bridge of Karidi ending up at the square of Xinovrisi, mostly walking on a path with sections of earth road. One can continue walking from Xinovrisi to Potistika beach or Siki. Note: there also exists another route from Argalasti up to Karidi bridge, but this one is preferable and more enjoyable. A path of very low historical importance and aesthetics and almost no shadow at all. not recommended. It is not a traditional kalderími where you experience the main (and only) roads that were used some decades ago. It is not a beautifull walk either. For it's most part you follow dirt roads. The beginning of the path near the village is very nice, amongst meditteranean bushes and low trees. Later on the path follows a creek where is blocked by vegetation so you have to fall back to the three-way and take the left road-like path which is parallel, till you enter cross the creek again, using a beautiful tiny stone bridge. after that, there is no intersting part. just dirt roads and the final narrow path near xinovrysi is closed again. with lots of snake skins lying around there is no reason trying to cross the dense dry folliage in summer.
markings are not present in all crossroads so using an app/gps can be handy.
we are grateful to people that maintain the paths (either paid or not) yet locals say money is received/given but not used to clean the paths. whether this is true or not, i feel it must be expressed here for people to.stuble upon.
