Itinerary description

Aνηφορίζουμε από την πλατεία του Αγίου Γεωργίου, περνώντας από το Ανατολικό Καταφύγιο, μέχρι το υψόμετρο των 1400 μ. και κατηφορίζουμε μέσα σε δάσος οξιάς φθάνοντας σε 5,5 ώρες (με στάσεις, καθαρός χρόνος πορείας 4.15΄) στο χωριό Μούρεσι. Η μισή διαδρομή σε καλντερίμι-μονοπάτι και η μισή περίπου σε δασικό δρόμο. Μπορούμε να συνεχίσουμε βαδίζοντας μία ώρα ακόμη προς τις παραλίες του Αι Γιάννη ή της Νταμούχαρης. Climbing from Agios Georgios village square, we pass by Eastern Refuge to ultimately reach max altitude 1400 m, then descend in beech and chestnut forest to the village of Mouresi. Walking time 4.15', total time about 5,5 h. Half of the route on kalderimi and path, the rest on earth road (a small section on concrete). We can continue downhill for one hour to get to the beaches of Ai Giannis or Damouchari.
