Itinerary description

This is the solo summit and descent of Peak Formosa, the highest point in the Tsitsikamma region in the Southern Cape of South Africa.

This trail is not for the faint of heart as drop offs and knife edges exist, but if one is careful with ones foot placing and sticks to the trail it is fine. Take note of the last water point, way-pointed, and start early to avoid the clouds and possible inclemental weather that often occurs in the afternoons. Weather changes very quickly! Take along warm weather clothes, water, food, hat and sunscreen. Time for this track includes the ascent and descent. Take care and enjoy!
