Itinerary description
This is a relatively easy trail but the high elevation can make it hard. Check out the Patriarch tree. This tree is the biggest Bristlecone Pine; however, it is not the oldest. Many old trees are found along the trail some spanning thousands of years. The gnarled shapes that the trees produce appear almost otherworldly. The humble bristlecone might be about the most photogenic tree out there. It is hard to stop clicking away at the trees.
