Itinerary description

The Esperança trail makes for a nice 16kms walk. The first 1-plus km is along a paved road, but then afterwards - with a few exceptions - you find yourself on dirt roads. If there is a central theme to the walk, it probably is the multitude of cork trees along the way. But you can also put a toe in Spain after crossing the small Puente de El Marco, you will cross lots of meadowland, see plenty of olive trees, discover the Vale de Junco rock paintings, and stroll past a few wineries before arriving back in Esperança.
