Itinerary description
A short and relatively easy hike with interesting views. There is good signage explaining what there is to see. The forest here is a mix of birch & balsam fir. On this spring walk, the wildflowers were just starting to bloom. At the end of the trail there is an elevated platform with great views.
The hike recorded here only records the inbound trail segment along the causeway to the Island so this version's length should be increased by 1 km so that it includes this missed part.
The nearby Ottawa House Museum is definitely worth a visit. It explains the history of this once bustling area of New Brunswick.
I would give this hike an AVA rating of 2B

I parked in the "Ottawa House" parking lot adjacent to this. You could also park on the causeway to the Island.
