Itinerary description
If you haven’t booked a place in the huts five months in advance, don’t panic. You can still enjoy some great view over Te Anau Lake on a daytrip (even without paying 50 NZD to the taxi-boat).
The views from the top is amazing and the walk through the is comfortable and very charming.
We stopped shortly after the bushline (where the forest ends) where the views are revealed, if you have time and energy you might as well continue to the hut. Enjoy.
