The National Park has dozens of gorges and granite peaks with crystal clear streams that flow between them, creating a beautiful harmony between the mountain and the water. There are more than 1,300 species of flora and fauna. There are also many historical and cultural sites, such as the Bukhansanseong Fortress with more than 2,000 years of history, more than 100 Buddhist temples and monk cells. In short, it is a great place to learn in terms of ecology, culture, and history.
We did the Baegundae peak trail. This Baegundae hiking trail in Bukhansan National Park ends at Baegundae Peak. 836.5 meters high.
It has a steep climb in a few kilometers so the slopes are important. From the hill to the peak there are 300 meters with a steep drop and somewhat complicated steps despite the wire ropes. That's why we couldn't get to the top.
