Today's stage is short, but very beautiful. We appreciate it more than the first, for the varied route, and also because we find more shade. The road winds through beautiful vineyards and olive groves, in the Mediterranean scrub. It offers us beautiful panoramas and two galleries, the second 550 m long, which give us some relief from the heat of the day (34 degrees!!!).
We will dedicate the time saved from the short stage to Piran, a medieval pearl located on a peninsula, which is absolutely worth a visit. It is considered one of the most beautiful seaside towns in Slovenia and the entire Adriatic. Its calluses and the architecture of its palaces are reminiscent of Venice. To see: piazza Tartini, the famous Slovenian violinist; the bell tower similar to that of S. Marco, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view, the shops, the bathing coasts.
