Strunjan - Stjuža Lagoon (Chiusa) - Strunjan Cliff - Strunjan Cross - Strunjan Spa - Strunjan Saline

Once in Strunjan from the SS111, a road that connects Isola to Portorose, you enter the roundabout and exit immediately to the right. Parking a few hundred meters near the Gostilna Pod Trto. Back near the roundabout, continue to the right along a pedestrian tree-lined avenue that runs along the Chiusa Lagoon, an environment that offers shelter to various species of marine birds. After about 850 m you reach a crossroads indicating the KRKA Baths (and the Salina and Primorka restaurants). Take the paved road that enters on the right a few meters after the signs, to immediately subscribe to the dirt track that goes up along the gardens. Once again on the paved road (view on the greenhouses), continue on the left for about 200 m. At the junction turn left for 20 m and then go up to the right on a dirt track that cuts through the dry-stone walls until it turns left again onto Via Strunjan. Go along the slightly uphill road for about 500 m between vegetable gardens, orchards and country houses. After a zigzag turn, continue along the paved road (closed to traffic by a chain) between the vineyards and olive trees of a beautiful abandoned farmhouse. After the hill, go down the path and continue to the left following an example of Mediterranean vegetation. After passing the Zudic landlord, go down a few meters until you reach the path on the right which overlooks the Baia della Luna and from which you can admire the Strunjan cliff, the largest coastal cliff on the Adriatic coast. From the cliff, you come to the white stone cross of 1600. After the guided tour you go down near the Terme KRKA (thalasso therapy center), and you cross the park passing the parking lots up to the Plaza bar. From the waterfront you reach the salt flats of Strunjan and the houses of the salt workers, now a visitor center. The ring closes on the tree-lined avenue leading to the start but can continue to Piran for another 5 km.
