Itinerary description
Parakatar ( Փառակատար ) is a mountain with the height of 2528 in Vayots Dzor province, Armenia.
Hayeli lake is a prominent lake in this area for its resemblance to the globe and Parakatar mountain slopes are the best vista point for it.
Some information about this trail:
--- This trail is a one-way trail, so for the whole length you should double it.
--- The ruins of Andranik fort are situated on the slopes of Parakarar mountain
--- This trail is blazed till Andranik fort, but it's better to have GPS
--- If you seek for a shorter way to Parakatar, look for "Andranik fort" trail in my trail section, here I climbed till Andranik fort in shorter, but steeper way (which is not blazed).
--- Season for Parakatar mountain starts from May till November, but take into consideration:
*** Hayeli lake view is the best only in May, this is the only season with green
vegetation
*** July- October period is very hot here
*** from November till May Parakatar is covered by snow.
