Itinerary description
We changed our original plan of walking from/to the top of Pantokrater beacuse a) the path starts below it and b) it was extremely hot and why walk the extra 100m ascent up the road when you can drive there.
On the decent we took a small path off the main track which was very over grown and difficult to follow. On the return we took the much better short cut up to the shelter, which is clearly the main path now and the other has fallen into disuse. We recommend taking the short cut.
Peritheia has 4 restaurants of high quality and resonable prices which make a good lunch break before returning. It is an abandoned village, quite picturesque and worth exploring.
Of course there is no reason why this route cannot be done in reverse from Peritheia to Pantokrator.
