Itinerary description
A nice, easy trail from the Paljakka resort, all the way to the town of Ristijarvi. The trail was done in July, so snow was not a concern.
The very first part of the trail goes on a small path above the resort. I wanted to try that, but it's mostly a wet swamp and it required me to look for a path amongst the trees. Definitely doable, but getting your shoes wet in the first kilometer is not recommended. You can try to find a better path, or just walk on the main road.
Apart from this, the trail is easy and is mostly on well maintained gravel roads. There are no real hills or other exposed parts. It's quite long, so you can do only a part of the trail and still have fun.
The trail is mostly among trees, with some isolated farms and it runs along a lake towards the end. Some nice landscapes to be seen. The trail is quiet: I haven't found a single hiker, runner or biker, and only very rarely a car.
