Itinerary description
This trail starts by Cascade Lake where there is good parking by the dam. Palisades trail starts at waypoint 2 (right turn). From here you wander along the trail through granite before descending through forest with old growth trees, down, down, to the junction with the easily missed turn for the Heath Falls trail at waypoint 3. Waypoint 4 is the overlook to the beautiful falls. The trail goes through some privately owned land with a bunch of no trespassing signs, but as long as you stay on the trail, don't camp there, or have campfires, one shouldn't have a problem. The trail has been used since before Europeans came to America. Enjoy the view.
