Itinerary description
Start at the harbour of Paleochora for this lovely walk with some challenging part on the way down.
The first part you follow the road (tarmac) uphill. Although that sounds uninviting we only had a few cars passing us by. The fact that we saw some goats made it even nicer. But still it is quite a walk only going up.
Once in Anidri you have to stop for something to eat at The Old School. Their menu has something for everybody. No matter your taste, there really is something for everyone.
After enjoying some delicious food we start our track to the sea. It’s a really nice gorge with nice views. There are some parts where you have to be careful. At some point there once was a ladder but now only a rope can support you on your way down.
We took the right turn once we could. You can also walk a little further to the beach which is quite rocky.
The last part was also beautiful following the coast with the sea to our left. The weather was rough as was the sea. Beautiful how the waves kept pounding the rocks only a few meters below us. The positive side of missing blue skies ;-)
If you like this track please let me know. If there is something missing please let me know so I can update the information if needed.
Hope you enjoyed this walk. Have a good one!!!
