Itinerary description
Incomplete coverage for our out and back KAATERSKILL HIGH PEAK summit hike from palenville road. My first 35catskill peak this year. I’ve done it winter hike last 2015 from platte cove. This time was from palenville road. It was about 15 miles with 3300 ft of gain with almost NO VIEW (just merely 2 spots wher you can see the devils path). I wouldn’t say it’s worthless but for what it’s worth when I went and see the ledge view from where the 2nd plane crash was, I think it is far better than the “hurricane ledge” in my opinion. I would definitely visit that “2nd ledge” on winter time but never again from palenville :-P
