Itinerary description
This long loop hike begins at the Palenica Białczańska car park, passing by the stunning Morskie Oko lake, the Świstówka Roztocka viewpoint, Dolina Pięciu Stawów (more lakes!), and the impressive Wielka Siklawa waterfall, before returning through a forest trail.
The hike starts easy, with a paved road from Palenica Białczańska to Morskie Oko, accessible to all. Horse-drawn carriages are available here. The real hike begins after Morskie Oko, where hiking shoes are essential. While technically easy, moderate fitness is required due to the hike's length.
Parking costs start from 36 PLN (in 2024) and must be reserved in advance (https://tpn.gov.pl/bilety). Without a reservation, the attendant will turn you away. We had to book on the day, paying 76 PLN. Entry to the park is 10 PLN per person. Note: mobile reception is poor, but Slovak networks may work for booking tickets.
