P1.01.1 - Da Aquara a Sant’Angelo a Fasanella passando per Ottati

Il percorso parte dal caratteristico borgo di Aquara il cui tratto iniziale si sviluppa in salita e su strada asfaltata. Proseguendo per qualche chilometro ci si immette su una stradina sterrata che conduce al confine con il territorio comunale di Ottati. Lungo tale strada la camminata risulta piacevole e poco faticosa essendo principalmente in discesa. Dopo qualche chilometro si imbocca una stradina sterrata che prosegue al fresco al disotto della copertura boschiva; qui è possibile godere di una bella vista sul borgo di Ottati.

Il sentiero prosegue fino ad arrivare nel territorio comunale di Sant’Angelo a Fasanella; esso si sviluppa al di sopra delle caratteristiche Cascate dell’Auso. Effettuando una discesa su un tratto roccioso, dove bene prestare molta attenzione, si arriva su una stradina sterrata. Allontanandosi di qualche centinaio di metri è possibile visitare e godere delle suggestive cascate di cui sopra, mentre se si prosegue sulla stradina sterrata il sentiero conduce al centro storico di Sant’Angelo a Fasanella.
Percorso non particolarmente difficile da seguire, individuare e ben segnalato.

The route starts from the characteristic village of Aquara whose initial stretch develops uphill and on an asphalt road. Continuing for a few kilometers you enter a dirt road that leads to the border with the municipal territory of Ottati. Along this road the walk is pleasant and not very tiring as it is mainly downhill. After a few kilometers you take a dirt road that continues in the cool under the woodland cover; here it is possible to enjoy a beautiful view of the village of Ottati.

The path continues until reaching the municipal area of Sant'Angelo a Fasanella; it develops above the characteristic Auso waterfalls. Making a descent on a rocky stretch, where you should pay close attention, you arrive on a dirt road. By moving a few hundred meters away it is possible to visit and enjoy the suggestive waterfalls mentioned above, while if you continue on the dirt road the path leads to the historic center of Sant'Angelo a Fasanella.
