Tour of the island of Dugi Otok on the Dalmatian coast, Croatia. We visit the Telascica Natural Park, located at the southeastern end of this long island. Telascica is one of the largest bays on the Adriatic, protected by cliffs on the outside and gentler rocky shores on the inside. An uncrowded place on the Dalmatian coast with a great diversity of flora and fauna, a rich seabed and an interesting geomorphology.
We start the tour at Grpascak Fortress from where we have spectacular views. Next to it there is a viewpoint over the stunning cliffs of Grpaspac, with spectacular views. Once we have enjoyed the view we will look for a path that goes down to Tripuljak Bay. Here we follow the path that runs through a pine forest along the sea shore to Cala Mir.
We continue towards the salt lake Mir. This lake, separated from the sea by a narrow strip of land, is connected to the sea by underground canals. Due to evaporation it has a higher salinity than the sea. In summer the water of the lake is warmer than that of the sea, and in winter it is colder. To the south of the lake is Skrača, with a peculiar landscape, where in addition to the rock formations produced by the effect and the force of the waves and the wind for long periods of time, people have been piling up mounds of stones.
We follow the path to Cala Lojisce, a small cove of white sand and turquoise water. We go to the inside of the bay, to Bok cove. A cove of rocks where we take the opportunity to swim in the clear waters, rest for a while, eat and above all enjoy the peace of this place. We return by the same place, but this time we go up to the imposing cliff to enjoy the panorama.
Once we arrive at Cala Mir, the boat takes us to Suha Punta, Kornati, where we will stay for two days.
