Owachomo Bridge and Armstrong Canyon - 3km - 50min
Natural Bridges National Monument - UTAH - USA

Départ : le parking d'accès à l'Owachomo Bridge est situé au sein du parc "Natural Bridges National Monument" (le parc est à environ 61km à l'Ouest de Blanding et le parking à 12 km de l'entrée du parc)

Il s'agît d'une courte randonnée le long d'un sentier facile qui descend avec une pente douce pour atteindre le pont naturel "Owachomo Bridge". Il est intéressant de poursuivre ensuite le long du canyon Armstrong au Sud du pont naturel.
Natural Bridges National Monument est géré par le National Park Service.

Trailhead : Owachomo Bridge is located within the Natural Bridges National Monument which is roughly 38 miles west of Blanding and the parking is at 7 miles from the entrance of the park

Paved trail to overlook: 220 feet (67m) - little elevation change
Trail to bridge: 0.2 mile (320m) - 180 foot (55m) elevation change
A quick hike along an easy trail down a fairly gentle slope starting at the roadside viewpoint.
Beginning at the Owachomo Bridge Overlook the trail drops down the cliff toward Armstrong Canyon.
Owachomo (O-wá-cho-mo) is a Hopi indian word for rock mound. On the upper left side of the bridge is a rock outcrop which suggested the name for the bridge.
Natural Bridges National Monument is managed by the U.S. National Park Service.
