Itinerary description
Visit the ruins of Rancho de la Cofradía del Puente, a hacienda which was producing tequila as far back as 1800. Next to it is the Río Arenal on which you will find a waterfall about 100 meters high. Unfortunately, the river smells of detergent and excrement! Further along the road you come to the ruins of La Taberna de los Tepetates, a clandestine tequila distillery.

Top of waterfall maybe 100 meters deep. Water is a little smelly! Maybe best to visit at the height of the rainy season. Be careful trying to see waterfall from side...edge of canyon wall is precarious!
