This is the first stretch (first 70%) of the trip from Østerbø to Vassbygdi is covered by this trail. The first part from Østerbø (the first 70% of the trip) was the most spectacular part. The last 30% of the trip was saved as a separate trail (by mistake), so check out also the other trek. The last part is mainly a transport hike following the river down to the bus station. A few busses leave from vassbygdi to Flåm. Alternatively, Aurland taxi can be called on 90130808.
To Østerbø you can get by bus from Flåm, or Vassbygdi or from Geilo (a stop along the oslo - bergen train ).
