Itinerary description
A trail of bridges and boardwalks through the dunes. Great birding. great view of dune vegetation. And of course there is the sand beach as long as the eye can see.
Enter this section of the Oceano Dunes by driving to the end of Oso flaco road off of hwy. The road ends at the park. Some of this area is closed during Snowy Plover nesting season.

Nice trail over wooden planks through the wetlands from parking place to the beach. You can observe birds in the water surrounded by some marsh kind of plants.
At the end of the trail, there is an outlook towards the pacific ocean below. Having binoculars at hand we could watch dolphins and whales in the distance. That made our day.
