Very difficult
I've done this trail on August 19, 2019. I found it frustratingly difficult because:
1- it's way easier to get to Mt Osceola summit by the other side (from Tripoli road). This side is shorter but way steeper and difficult.
2- the trail is not well build and part of it (about two miles) consists in climbing. Use of hands is often required. Therefore, it's exhausting and more dangerous. There are many bare tree roots on the trail, and I believe one shouldn't be walking on them.
You may like it if walking is too easy for you. I prefer trails where one can walk.
There was no view until the Mount Osceola summit (the day I hiked was cloudy so the summit was in the clouds and there was no view though). The trail runs through the forest.
This hike was done during the Winter. Tripoli road is closed during the Winter. It was a windy minus 5 degrees at the top on this hike. I would do the Tripoli road route too if the road was open.
