Itinerary description

Start: Vrbanj, left from the restaurant along the gravel road, then first turn to the right until you see the big rock with a hardly visible marking on your right and from there follow rather pale markings to and through the forest going up and up until the very MNE/B&H border (with no physical boundary) from where the trail goes right up the karst all the way to the highest peak of Orjen: Veliki Kabao. The views from the peak are amazing.
From there the trail continues down south towards the Sedlo mountain hut which you can see from the top and follows the 1st built hiking path in MNE (by the soldiers in Austro-Hungarian army for the purpose of prince Rudolf Habsburg's visit), and farther down past the pond just be sure to turn left at the first viewpoint and then right following the track and markings towards Vrbanj cutting the old Austro-Hungarian gravel road until you're back at the starting point.
This is probably my most favourite trail in Orjen and I did it at least 3 times in a year, May, June, November .. so would recommend it any season except in high snow or scorching heat as some parts are rather overgrown with high grass, fallen trees so caution is needed. No shade in the beginning until you get into the forest, then no shade from the karst part below the peak until the forest below the viewpoint.
Be sure to have enough water with you even though you can always check if there's water at a spring close to Orjen-Sedlo mountain hut (Studenac H2O).
