Ky shteg përshkon gadishullin e Karaburunit, i cili është zonë e mbrojtur me statusin Rezervat Natyror i Menaxhuar. Përfshin dy destinacione të rëndësishmë turistike, Gjirin e Brisanit dhe Shpellën e “Duk Gjonit”. Gjiri i Brisanit vitet e fundit është renditur si një nga destinacionet si pikë plazhi më të frekuentuar nga turistët. Nga Gjiri i Brisanit deri në shpellën e “Duk Gjonit”, shtegu zhvillohet përgjatë bregut perëndimor të gadishullit, i lagur nga deti Jon dhe përgjatë tij mund të shijoni Parkun Kombëtar Detar “Karaburun-Sazan”. Destinacioi final i këtij shtegu është Monumenti i Natyrës, Shpella e “Duk Gjonit” (Kategoria III, sipas IUCN). Në një lartesi 129 m nga niveli i detit kjo shpellë përbën një nga habitatet më të rëndësishme për një numër të konsiderueshem të lakuriqëve të natës, kryesisht Chiroptera sp. dhe Rhinolophus blasii. Shpella ka vlera tё rёndёsishme natyrore falë pranisё së stalaktiteve dhe stalagmiteve, të cilat i japin asaj njё bukuri tё rrallё natyrale.
Flora është e pasur me drurë të lartë pyjor dhe përfaqësohet nga masivi i dytë më i madh i valanidhit (Quercus ithaburensis macrolepsis) pas atij të Shën Andre-ut, lis (Quercus petraea), qarr (Quercus cerris), shkurre mesdhetare si Përralli (Quercus cocciferra), mare (Arbutus unedo), ilqe (Quercus ilex), frashër (Fraxinus ornus), gjineshtër (Spartium junceum), mersina (Myrtus communis) dhe bimë mjekësore si sherebela (Salvia officinalis), rigoni (Origanum vulgare), shafrani (Crocus longiflorus) dhe bar blete (Melissa officinalis). Pylli i valanidhit në Shën Andre është nga më të mëdhenjtë në të gjithë gadishullin e Karaburunit. Ndër llojet e faunës së egër mund të përmenden: dhelpera (Vulpes vulpes), ujku (Canis lupus), lepuri i egër (Oryctolagus cuniculus), sorkadhja (Capreolus capreolus), derri i egër (Sus scrofa), huta (Buteo buteo), Shqiponja e malit (Aquila chrysaetos) , qukapiku i gjelbër (Picus viridis), thëllëza e malit (Alectoris graeca), etj.
Gjatë shtegut mungojnë burimet me ujë të pijshem si dhe nuk ofrohet asnjë strukturë turistike apo shërbim. Shtegu është i dukshëm dhe i markuar me sinjalistikën me bojë të bardhë dhe të kuqe sipas segmentit Gjiri i Brisanit- Shpella e “Duk Gjonit”. Jo e gjithë gjatësia e shtegut, mbulohet nga rrjeti telefonik.

This trail crosses the Karaburuni Peninsula, which is a protected area categorized as a Natural Reserve. It includes two important touristic destinations, that of Brisani Bay and the Cave of “Duk Gjoni”. The lasts few years, Brisani Bay is ranked as one of the more frequented and beautiful beaches in the Karburun peninsula. From Brisani bay to “Duk Gjoni” Cave, the trail is along the Ionian rocky coast, on the western part of the peninsula from where you can enjoy among others the Marine National Park of “Karaburun Sazan”. The final destination of this trail is the Natural Monument of “Duk Gjoni” cave (III category according IUCN). With an elevation of 129 m above sea level, this cave is considered as one of the most important habitats of bats such as Chiroptera sp. and Rhinolophus blasii. The cave has important natural values, and an exceptional beauty due to the presence of stalactites and stalagmites.
Along the trail there is a very rich flora, represented by: the second highest forest, after that of Shen Andre of the valonia oak (Quercus ithaburensis macrolepsis), the sessile oak (Quercus petraea), the turkey oak (Quercus cerris); Mediterranean shrubs like the kermes oak (Quercus cocciferra), the strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo), the holm oak (Quercus ilex), the flowering ash (Fraxinus ornus), the spanish broom (Spartium junceum), the myrtle (Myrtus communis) and also medicinal plants like the common sage (Salvia officinalis), the oregano (Origanum vulgare), the saffron crocus (Crocus longiflorus) and the balm (Melissa officinalis). The valonia oak forest, in Shën Andre, is one of the biggest in Karaburuni peninsula. Some of the species of wild fauna found in this area are: the red fox (Vulpes vulpes); the gray wolf (Canis lupus); the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus); the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus); the wild boar (Sus scrofa); the common buzzard (Buteo buteo); the golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos); the rock partridge (Alectoris greaca); the green woodpecker (Picus viridis) etc.
There are no water sources and touristic services during this trail. The trail is visible and indicated by marks in white and red color, from Brisani Bay to “Duk Gjoni” cave. There is no phone signal in some parts of the trail.
