Itinerary description
This was a nice one day walk in Gongju. It takes only one and a half hours to get there from Seoul Express Bus terminal. The bus tickets are cheap comparing to taxis.
First thing you have to do is crossing the river. From there you can already spot Gongsanseong fortress. The round walk around its walls takes about an hour. Then you can walk along Jemincheon stream towards local market. After that it's worth to visit the Muryeongwangneung (Tomb of King Muryeong) and Gongju National Museum. You can also have some fun visiting nearby traditionally decorated Gongju Hanok Village.
Return walk along the river can be a little challenging and I suggest to take the right side of the road, especially when you approach the tunnel.
