Itinerary description

The whole day hike featuring Chaukhi Pass, Abudelauri Blue and Green lakes and Sadzele Pass. I was not able to complete the hike in the daylight, but the last section is a motor road and could be easily followed in the dark.

Chaukhi Pass

It should be an alternative descent to the White Lake somewhere close, but I was not able to find it.

To the left is the road through the valley, which eventually leads to the Sadzele Pass. To the right is the road to White Lake. Straight is the trail to Blue and the Green Lakes.

The Green Lake

This lake is a little lackluster, to be honest. From here you can go back to the intersection or go off-road making a shortcut to the trail through the valley, like I did. Or you can continue to follow the trail, but you will need to cross the valley and ford the stream at some point.

The streams here are hidden by vegetation, but easily recognizable

Here you left the motorway and go to the trail to the Sadzele Pass.

I was not able to find a good crossing and forded it barefoot. From this point, you will follow this stream on the right bank, but eventually, you need to find yourself on the left bank, where the motor road to Juta goes. I missed the crossing and forded the river once more.
