Itinerary description
First part of the hike is from Ayder to Hazindag (+/- 9 km): the trail is non-existent. A local told me that around 10 years there were really strong rain that destroyed it and they didn’t bother to rebuild it. I would advise to skip this section if possible.
Second part is from Hazindag to Amistal (+/- 5 km): this part is gorgeous and quite easy as the path is decently maintained.
The final section was from Amistal to Kavrum (+/- 6 km): this part can be divided in two subpart, you first go up to a pass that is only 2 km away. You the have to descend up to the road and take a right towards the village. The itinerary i followed actually continued down from the pass but it seemed quite intense and more bushwalking.
Once in Kavrun i took a dolmus (local minibus) to make my way back to Ayder again.
I rate this hike as really hard only because the bushwalking in the first 9 km were horrible (climbing in creek and having nothing but the gos to guide me.)
