Het fort of Fortica was built tijdens de Croatian-Ottomanse orlogen as a primary verdediging tegen het Ottomanse Rijk. The steep hillside is near a hill of 262 m above the town of Omiš. La fortaleza o Fortica fue construida durante las guerras croata-otomanas como principal defensa contra el Imperio Otomano. La fortaleza empinada se encuentra en una cresta de 262 metros sobre la ciudad de Omiš. En caso de ataque, su propósito er dar cobijo a los lugareños y ser un bastion donde pudieran retirarse y resistir a los Turcos.

Nije duga šetnja u smislu udaljenosti. Ruta ide neravnom stazom i morate se popeti više od 260 metara do tvrđave.
Tvrđava ili Fortica izgrađena je tijekom hrvatsko-osmanskih ratova kao primarna obrana od Osmanskog carstva. Strma tvrđava nalazi se na grebenu from 262 m iznad grada Omiša. U slučaju napada, njegova je svrha bila pružiti zaklon mještanima i biti uporište u koje bis se mogli povući i oduprijeti se Turcima.

One of the most complex and also spectacular construction of an infrastructure facility in Croatia is currently underway in the Dalmatian town of Omiš. The Omiš bypass project includes the construction of the Stobreč – Dugi Rat – Omiš highway and the construction of a 216-metre bridge connecting two tunnels. The project will help alleviate traffic problems on the busy Split-Omiš route. One of the most complex parts of the project is the construction of a bridge over the gorge of the Cetina River that will connect the new Komorjak Tunnel with the existing Omiš Tunnel. So far, 25 meters of the bridge has been built and when it is finished, it will offer a beautiful view of the city of Omiš for commuters. All works on the bypass are expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The town of Omiš is located on a narrow belt between the mainland and the mountains, along the mouth of the Cetina River, making this an extremely difficult project. =============================== In the Dalmatinischen Stadt Omiš entsteht derzeit einer der complexesten und zugleich Spectakulärsten Bau einer Infrastrukturanlage in Croatian.
