Itinerary description
This is an extraordinary hike through a crevasse of about 2 kilometres long alongside its, at places, very narrow cliffs.
This canyon is very picturesque with its narrow passages and cairns and tree branches/sticks that seem to support the rocks and you will walk along and across boulders, some huge, lichens, and ferns
At two places there are steel steps in the rocks to help you climb them with the help of ropes.
The walk through the canyon is never really dificult but there is a warning sign at the beginning of the descent into the canyon, after passing the farm, that the descent itself is difficult.
Under wet conditions it might be difficult indeed.
After the canyon we took the track of 'le sept lacets' back to the road, which will give you an unforgettable view of the gorges d'Ombleze during the descent.
