Itinerary description
Oman: Khasab. Sayh Plateau to Quwwah village (STH LB village)
Sayh Quwwah village is the village at the UAE - Oman border that you see while hiking Stairway to Heaven Left Bank.
This village is at the top of the vertical cliff.
Before the border markings, apparently these villages on Sayh plateau were connected to the villages in Wadi Litibah and Wadi Ghalilah.
During our previous hikes in STH, we had visited this village briefly as there was no time and also it is illegal to venture into Omani territory without proper process and documentation.
As we were in Khasab town of Musandam peninsula of Oman for offroading, we were very close to Quwwah village from Sayh plateau and Jebel Harim road.
So we decided to hike from the main offroad and explore the village and its area.
We parked our 4X4 cars somewhere here at Sayh village.
Normal Sedan cars will have difficulty in reaching this location from Khasab town. AWD or 4x4 are ideal.

Its a functional village, so please don't block the road or access.
Initially there is a bad condition offroad to walk on for about 500 meters and it is steep up.
Once you pass this patch, everything looks fine and manageable.
Beginners can do this hike.
The village is functional with many Fig and other fruits trees.
There are residents living here.
We reached till the Cliff edge to relive the STH vertical climbs and we were confident to stay there as we were there legally !!!
Overall its a nice hike with standard preparations.
