Itinerary description

Hiking from Prionia, to Refuge A, then to the peaks Skala and Skolio. From there begins a fairly vertical ascent to Mytikas, the highest peak of Mount Olympus.

Practically all the time, there is a well-marked trail, marked as E4. There are unmarked separations of the trail in several places, but they always rejoin after a few minutes of walking. All other separations are well marked and you only need to follow the E4 sign.

From the Mytikas there is descends on the other, steeper side, known as Kakoskala. After the descent, it passes under the top of Stefani, towards the Refuge Giosos Apostolidis and the Refuge Christos Kakkalos.

From the Refuge Christos Kakkalos there is a clear and marked descent which after 3km rejoins the E4 trail.

The rest of the way is the same as during the climb - back to Refuge A, then to the parking lot in Prionia.
