The hike begins a little before the visitor center of the park, which is surprised by its "luxury" given the difficulty of reaching it and far away from any inhabited place.
The beginning is rising in a dry environment but with vegetation of small trees and shrubs, up to the ridge, where there are good views of the surrounding desert plains and the Neukluft valley. Gradually, we turn to the right, and we enter in the bed enclosed of a dry river. The path, already descending, passes between impossible color rocks, and with cliff crescents surrounding us to the right and left. We see mountain zebras - by far - and spectacular "draco" trees along the way. There is a point in which we have to help with some chains to save a passage between rocks a bit complicated, but fortunately quite short.
The difficulty lies in the intense heat (it is necessary to bring plenty of water) and in the piece of the chains.
The landscape is impressive, from the exotic vegetation, to the incredible geological variety that exists. In addition to the feeling of loneliness and isolation that is breathed all the way.
