Itinerary description
approx. 06:00 (Greek time zone) drive to the location Gortsià (1030 m above sea level), the starting position of the hiking climb to Mount Olympus.
12 mountaineers, a 9-member team of PD Konjuh Tuzla (and a 3-member team of PSK Pobeda Belgrade) are participating in the ascent.
Climbing guides Vladislav Matković - PSK Pobeda and Dževad Bektašević - PD Konjuh Tuzla.
We start the ascent by walking along the marked path through the wooded part, exiting the ridge, arriving at the Petrostrouga Mountain House (1920 m above sea level). After a half-hour break, we continue moving, over the southeastern parts of the peaks of Pyrkos and Barba, we reach the plateau of the Muse.
Overcoming the altitude difference of 1770 m above sea level, the long-distance of about 11 km, in about 6 hours of walking we come to the Mountain Lodge SEO Giosos Apostolidis (2697 m above sea level), where the accommodation is for two nights.
After accommodation and rest, the ascent to the top of Profitis Ilias (2803 m) and Tumba (2804 m above sea level) was made, which rise above the home of SEO.
