Itinerary description
The Wamuran to Kilcoy rail line was closed in 1964. The signature section which this trail follows is one of the steepest sections through reasonably dense rainforest. The trail follows the railway and up and then splits off in a Figure 8 pattern to cover some of the surrounding terrain including one of the hills in the area.
The trail along the railway line shows deep cuts within the rock face in various spots and you can see where they have had to do massive buildup of dirt to maintain the grade of the track through gullies and water courses.
This hike provides a glimpse of variety different vegetation types in a relatively compact area. The start of the Trail is from the end of Myatt Road.
